Australian Standing Stones

The Australian Standing Stones is the national monument to Australia’s Celtic pioneers. The Australian Standing Stones are located to the east of the CBD in the Centennial Parklands overlooking Glen Innes.

Listen to the haunting sounds of the bagpipes as your guide gives you a personal talk on the history, symbolism and meaning of the only solar-aligned, megalithic stone circle – a working calendar – built anywhere in the world for more than 3000 years.
